PV Restorations undertook a full remediation service to a property severely affected by the flood waters affecting the region in 2022. The property had been submerged by category three waterflood water, which subsequently lead to mould growth and bacterial contamination throughout the property. The property was stripped back to the timber framing members. Once completed the remediation process could begin!
Stage One
A decontamination wash down from ceiling to ground level was completed to the internal and external portions of the property.
Stage Two
Once timber framing members had dried down the de-nailing and timber preparation could begin. Removing plaster and other debris still attached to the structure
Stage Three
Sterilization of all internal surfaces:
- HEPA VAC of all internal surfaces, including clear out of eave linings
- Chemical application to all internal surfaces with a biocide, following a steam vapor extraction to remove any stubborn residue
- Sanding of stubborn any remaining mould staining
- ATP Testing to ensure area clear
Stage Four
- Encapsulation of timbers with a high PH mould resistant coating. Tinted to match natural structure timber color
- Final clean ready for PVR
